Film Noir Ideas
In this prezi is our initial ideas for the film noir sequence. We presented this to our teacher and rest of class and discussed the storyline scene by scene, the locations, actors and characters. In addition to this Sukhpreet held up images of the storyboard that had the camera shots listed on them whilst myself and Kelsey were talking through the scenes. I believe that our presentation went really well however to improve next time we could potentially divide the speaking more equally so that everyone was talking during the presentation and not just myself and Kelsey.
Group Decision
For this project I have decided to work alongside Kelsey and Sukhpreet to create the Film Noir piece. I believe that this will be a strong team as both myself and Sukhpreet are very educated on the camera angles from studying A level Photography and Kelsey has great knowledge about the topic and a good idea for a story line.
When it comes to job roles in the production and making section we will all take turns at filming and editing and we will all act in the piece. I will be playing the role of Ruby - the femme fatale, Kelsey will be playing the part of Joules who is the head of the Detective institution and Sukhpreet is playing the role of Marianne who is our murder victim. In addition to this we will also have a male actor, Jake, who is playing the role of Clive.
Location was a bit hard for us to choose however we came to the conclusion of 3 different locations, the first being a house as it has the venetian blinds which is a common convention of Film noir this will be our 'Office', the next location is Clothall Common where we will be doing a 'house-to-house' asking people if they know anything about the murder and our final scene is Radwell Meadows where the body of Marianne is discovered.
In summary our film noir sequence is set in the 1950's with two detectives, one male and one female, who are trying to solve a missing girl case which quickly turns into a murder.
